What you can change — your duties

Your Activities:

  • To lead by example! Follow and make sure that the assigned global commodity purchasing team follows the JSS core values and compliance rules
  • To ensure the best price on a global supply market for all JSS components and raw materials
  • To develop a comprehensive global commodity purchasing strategy (3-5 years view) based on regional business strategy and PBU strategy
  • To ensure global implementation of the commodity strategy including action plans in each region (road maps)
  • To manage and optimize the assigned global purchasing organization
  • Responsible for strategic and tactical steering of the purchasing volume in the assigned commodites
  • To represent the global commodity towards all suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • To execute annual price negotiations with all relevant suppliers in order to (over-)achieve the budget PPV target
  • Responsible for supplier management starting from new supplier introduction to supplier phase out, compiling supply market intelligence, identifying purchasing risks, opportunities and ensuring data transparency
  • Development of global supplier strategy and selection of best suppliers for JSS. Searching for, developing and managing suppliers of strategic relevance; building up strategic supplier partnerships
  • To ensure implementation of global and regional purchasing initiatives (e.g. sourcing committee, processes & procedures, IT tools, etc.)
  • To collaborate and support supplier quality management to achieve 0 PPM/IMP with all strategic suppliers
  • To present supplier innovations to our global and regional R&D function and to ensure the implementation, if technically and commercially feasible
  • Support and execute VAVE programs with all relevant suppliers
  • Managing the interface with Purchasing Controlling and to support a transparent, complete and consistent reporting of the commodities KPI´s
  • Constantly monitor all relevant KPI´s on the achievement of targets, gap to target, actions to close the gap together with the global commodity purchasing team

Impress us – your qualifications

Your Prerequisites:

  • Successfully completed vocational training as internat. management assistant or comp. qualification
  • College/university degree in business administration or comparable studies (preferable with a major in Purchasing Management)
  • Demonstrated experience in Purchasing Management
  • Larger scale company/systems integration experience
  • A strong strategic and analytic thinker with an execution bias
  • Regarded as transformational and/or a change agent
  • Strong collaborative (distance) leader and team coach
  • Comfortable with functioning in a global matrix operating environment
  • Multi-cultural and/or global experience
  • Demonstration of JSS core values: team spirit, customer focus, creativity, quality orientation and cost awareness
  • Awareness for absolute data integrity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Excellent Business English proficiency
  • Frequent global business travel required
