What you can change — your duties

─ Work closely with global multi-disciplinary engineering team (including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers), to
develop automotive safety products including steering wheel components;
─ Work closely with internal and customer teams to ensure robust designs are developed which meet all functional, packaging
and appearance requirements;
─ Participate in development, maintenance and release of assembly bill of material and product drawings within global
change management system;
─ Support development, maintenance & release of DFMEA, DRBFM, tolerance stack ups, and other related engineering
documentation;
─ Attend Design Reviews and Quotation Meetings to ensure Product Line Standards and Roadmap alignment ;
─ Responsible for creation and update from related design Guidelines;
─ Support development, maintenance, and release of internal global design guidelines;
─ Conduct design reviews and project status updates as required per internal guidelines;
─ Work within defined project timelines and budget to meet milestones and targets;
─ Support application teams in development of steering wheel designs, providing guidance as needed to ensure products
follow internally released global standards and best practices.

Impress us – your qualifications

─ 3-5+ years of automotive engineering experience working on steering wheel components;
─ Ability to demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
─ Ability to engineer components for plastic injection molding, die casting, stamping and other similar manufacturing
processes / Optimum: Experience in steering wheel design or process ;
─ Ability to design components for automotive interior appearance grade applications;
─ Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T);
─ Experience with CAD design software (SolidWorks, Catia V5, NX) preferred;
─ Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications;
─ Ability to demonstrate excellent English oral and written communication skills;
─ Ability to work independently and as a member of a global team;
─ Ability to balance multiple projects in a high output work environment.
