Our team in Arad needs support and we are seeking:
DATA PROTECTION SPECIALIST Department Legal EMEA (position located in Arad/Timisoara/Sibiu)
What you can change — your duties
— Implement the company’s data protection strategy, assuring compliance with local data protection regulations;
— Inform and advise the company and employees how to comply with local data protection related regulation, and monitor
compliance with local data protection related regulation;
— Assist in the development, implementation and periodic review of internal data protection policies and Raise awareness
and provide staff training for any employees involved with processing activities;
— Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure compliance with applicable data protection regulations, and provide
advice regarding the data protection impact assessment and monitor its performance;
— Identify and evaluate the company’s data processing activities;
— Maintain records of all data processing activities conducted by the company and other required registers and
documentation required under applicable data protection regulations;
— Handle complaints or requests by the institutions, the data controller, data subjects, or introduce improvements on their
own initiative;
— Assist in ensuring compliance with reporting obligations of any data breaches (as requested by applicable data protection
laws).
Impress us – your qualifications
— University degree – Law profile;
— Experience 2 years of PQE acquired in an international law firm or inhouse, with a focus on data protection laws;
— Expert knowledge of GDPR and national data protection regulations;
— Knowledge of data processing operations in the company’s sector;
— Fluent in English (German is an advantage);
— Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
— Strong integrity and confidentiality, good judgment and decision-making skills;
— Ability to organize and prioritize workload and to set priorities;
— Excellent communication skills, teamwork oriented.
