What you can change — your duties
- Overseeing the entire core development lifecycle, from initial design to customer communication.
- Organizational, technical, and commercial responsibility for the department, ensuring projects align with our New Technology Development initiatives.
- Assess global product trends, integrating technology, legislation, and customer preferences into our innovation strategy .
- Develop the technical Product Roadmap and providing RFQ support to qualify relevant products for our customers.
- Collaboration and support to business units and sales teams in product strategy and concept approval processes. Support for first launch (with the Application Engineering).
- Lead benchmarkingefforts, identifying cost and technology gaps to maintain our competitive edge.
- Responsible for methodology development (DRBFM), establishment of UDS for new technologies, and leading process improvements to drive efficiency and quality.
- Lead and develop a team of talented individuals, guiding them towards success and fostering a culture of innovation.
Impress us – your qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Engineering required; Master degree preferred
- 10 to 15 years of experience in the automotive industry
- In-depth expertise in automotive engineering, particularly with a focus on steering wheel technology
- Profound understanding of global market trends, customer behavior, and industry regulations
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, paired with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong strategic thinker as well as an action-minded problem-solver with a customer-centric mindset and demeanor
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels
- Sharp orientation to detail, and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment
- Fluency in English; any other language is considered advantageous
