We are currently seeking a Director, Pricing Review Group (PRG) at our Global Headquarters located in Auburn Hills, MI
What you can change — your duties
- Work with regional finance teams to ensure new business quote financial models are adequate, optimized and are consistent across regions.
- Define product cost components including material, direct and indirect labor, variable and fixed overhead as well as ensuring application into the approved financial models. Also ensures R&D and SG&A expenses are adequately defined and appropriately included in approved financial models.
- Chair PRG review meetings, as determined by policy requirements.
- Develop periodic product line and customer profitability reporting.
- Perform program profitability analyses for awarded business comparing the actual profitability to quoted profitability.
- Opportunity to work with executive management on high-profile business cases and decisions. Have direct interaction with business unit presidents, finance directors and other corporate executives on select facets of the business.
- Ability to identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve the profitability of the company’s products.
- Benchmark select product costs amongst the regions, publishing best proactive costs.
- Assist in the implementation of new ERP and planning software.
- Assist in the annual budget process.
Impress us – your qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. MBA or master’s degree considered a plus.
- Professional qualification such as CPA or CMA considered a plus.
- 10-15 years of related experience, preferably in the automotive sector.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS financials.
- Strong cost accounting capabilities, particularly in standard costing.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal, and strong project and time management skills.
- Advanced analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment as the Company continues to grow and the Corporate Finance function evolves.
- Comfortable in challenging processes and developing recommendations for standardization and efficiency improvements.
- Proven ability to partner with the business and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- HFM, SAP and/or QAD experience preferred.
- Experience with planning software solutions is highly desirable.
