Project Buyer (all genders) – Steering Wheel

What you can change — your duties

  • Cross-functional support for all new projects, in particular coordination of all procurement activities from acquisition to SOP plus 3 months
  • Responsibility for the entire sourcing process, in particular feasibility studies based on JSS and customer specifications as well as negotiation of all necessary purchasing components
  • Observance of the material costs and the tooling budgets as well as the project deadlines/schedules
  • Supplier selection according the global bidderslist and alignment with the Global Commodities
  • Contract negotiations and conclusion of frame agreements in coordination with the Global Commodities and the Head of Project Purchasing
  • Supplier visits, participation in supplier audits and support of the supplier quality team
  • Procurement market analysis and providing the development areas and the project team with market data
  • Targeted preparation and implementation of "Cost Reduction Program (CRP)" activities
  • Maintenance of data and correspondence in the project related standardized storing file system
  • Participation in staff meetings, one to one meetings and project team meetings

Impress us – your qualifications

  • Successfully completed university degree (UNI/HS/BA) in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or comparable subject
  • Several years of professional experience in the automotive environment in a comparable management position
  • Long-term experience in Project Management and Purchasing desirable
  • Professional negotiation skills
  • Business fluent in written and spoken English
  • Willingness to travel
